Research School of Computer and Information Security
Gjøvik University College is appointed to manage the Norwegian research school in Information Security. The research school is established by the Research Council of Norway.
The research community at the Norwegian Information Security laboratory at Gjøvik University College is amongst the largest
communities within information security in Europe.
COINS Research School of Computer and Information Security will be managed by Gjøvik University College, other participants are the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the University of Oslo, the University of Bergen, the University of Agder, the University of Stavanger and the University of Tromsø.
The Research School will integrate Norwegian research groups in information security to a larger entity, by integrating course portfolio for the members of the research school, to build stronger relationships between doctoral students in the network, establish more incentives to gain distinction and increase student mobility through access to a larger network.
